Zefr is looking for an Advertising Research Analyst to help analyze advertiser campaign performance, develop reports and insights for sales teams, and leverage data to drive new value for the company. The role aims to improve campaign measurement, provide actionable recommendations, and enhance the effectiveness of sales strategies in the context of AI-powered content classifications.
Requirements
- Experience with syndicated media research like Nielsen and ComScore, and third-party measurement solutions like Kantar, Dynata, Nielsen Catalina Solutions, Circana, Disqo, Brandwatch and Google Ads experience is a plus.
- Understanding of media planning and media math (reach, frequency, audience composition, CPV, CPM, Lift, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint or the Google equivalent. Keynote is a plus.
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
- SQL is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of advertiser campaign performance, providing insights and actionable recommendations for best practices and optimization.
- Develop reports and insights to help sales teams be effective and nimble.
- Create output that tells the story behind the data to non-technical team members.
- Leverage AI agents and automation to identify, redesign, and optimize workflows, significantly reducing manual effort and operational overhead.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand our clients’ business needs, formulate and complete end-to-end analysis, generate creative ideas, research possible solutions, recommend an appropriate solution, lead and/or perform the implementation, and present results.
- Be the measurement expert across our workstreams.

- Reporting to the VP of Research & Insights, the Advertising Research Analyst plays a critical role within the research team, sales team and broader organization.
- This position is based in New York City and follows a hybrid schedule (in-office Tuesday through Thursday).
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. A knack for storytelling or interest in consumer insights is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and problem solve as well as effectively collaborate with various teams.
- Education: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences or equivalent experience; Master’s Degree is a plus.
