Designs, codes, tests and deploys software in all layers of the development life cycle for FedEx Freight
Requirements
- Proven computer/coding skills in multiple languages
- Strong programming skills
- Experience with databases, APIs, servers, networks
- Knowledge of industry standards for software development
- Experience with software development life cycle
- Experience with testing and debugging software code
- Experience with documenting software code
Responsibilities
- Designs software code using multiple programming languages
- Tests newly developed software code
- Documents code per the Company's processes
- Evaluates code to ensure it meets industry standards and is compatible with all hardware and software
- Works with databases, APIs, servers, networks and various programming languages
- Mentors those in less senior positions
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
Other
- Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in computer science, engineering, or information systems and/or directly related work experience
- Seven (7) years’ work experience in information technology or engineering
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with professionals from a range of technical and non-technical backgrounds
- Must reside within 50 miles of a FedEx Freight location within the continental U.S.
