PPG is looking to solve the problem of ensuring that all products and processes meet internal, customer, and regulatory standards (e.g., AS9100, FAA, DoD) in a highly regulated environment.
Requirements
- Experience with inspection techniques, GD&T, and use of precision measurement tools.
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality systems (e.g., QMS, ERP, SPC software)
- Strong working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and aerospace quality standards preferred
- Six Sigma Green Belt or ASQ CQI, CQA certifications preferred
- Familiar with regulatory compliance (FAA DoD, ITAR) preferred
- Experience with PPAP, FAI, and APQP methodologies preferred
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily activities of QA Inspectors, technicians, and quality support personnel.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, procedures, and documentation across production and inspection processes.
- Monitor product quality through inspections, testing, and audits throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (RCA/CAPA) for internal and external non-conformances.
- Support internal and external audits (AS9100, customer, FAA, etc.).
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
- Utilize quality metrics and data analysis to drive improvement and report performance trends.

- Degree in a technical discipline (engineering, quality, aerospace, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of quality assurance experience in an aerospace or regulated industry.
- 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
