EBSCO Information Services is seeking an Agile Development Manager to lead the strategy and execution of enterprise cloud infrastructure initiatives to transform lives by providing reliable and relevant information
Requirements
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
- Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or NewRelic
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms (GCP, Azure) is a plus
- Experience working in a regulated or compliance-heavy environment (e.g., ISO, HIPAA, FedRAMP)
- Deep technical expertise in cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, Istio, and CI/CD practices within AWS
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps and cloud engineers to design, implement, and manage cloud-native infrastructure
- Own and evolve enterprise-grade Kubernetes platforms (Amazon EKS), including architecture, multi-tenancy, RBAC, and governance
- Architect and manage a robust Istio-based service mesh, ensuring secure, observable, and resilient service-to-service communication
- Drive modernization efforts through the design and implementation of GitOps-based CI/CD workflows that enable scalable and secure deployments across hundreds of microservices
- Collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams to ensure smooth delivery and enforce operational standards and cloud best practices
- Architect and optimize multi-account/multi-region AWS environments using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices
- Manage budgets and forecasts for cloud spend; implement cost controls and optimization strategies at scale
