John Deere is looking to explore agronomic hypotheses and concepts that support the development of new equipment innovations through an Agronomy Intern.
Requirements
- Advanced computer skills and familiarity with Office 365 programs.
- Basic mechanical and electronic hardware knowledge.
- Experience operating farm machinery.
- Experience with precision agriculture and navigating equipment displays.
- Agronomy knowledge relevant to Western Canadian agricultural practices.
- Drone pilot experience.
Responsibilities
- in-field data collection and observations
- working with internal staff as well as 3rd party collaborators
- raw data processing
- performing tasks to ensure trial success
Other
- This is an Intern position for four months beginning in late April through August 2026.
- Candidates applying for this position must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Good communication skills and comfortable working in a team environment.
- Organized and able to create own plan and schedule.
- Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following: Agriculture (Agribusiness, Agronomy, Environmental etc.) Engineering
