Accelerating and improving the accuracy of code development during the migration from legacy Oracle systems to a modern data analytics platform for the Department of Transportation
Requirements
- Proven experience with Generative AI and LLM-augmented code development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot Agent, AWS Q)
- Expertise in context engineering and agentic frameworks beyond basic RAG applications
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure for deploying and managing AI tools
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices
Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain an AI automation sandbox environment using tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot Agent, and AWS Q
- Lead context engineering efforts to ensure relevant codebases, documentation, and data sources are accessible and searchable by agentic coding assistants
- Integrate and manage access to MCP servers, Unity Catalog, and legacy Oracle databases within the sandbox
- Collaborate with developers and data engineers to optimize workflows and ensure tool functionality
- Report to the Technical Lead and serve as a technical resource across engineering teams

- Must be eligible for federal clearance and pass a background check
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, AI/ML, or a related field
- Occasional travel to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area may be required for key client meetings
