TRS is seeking an Entry-Level Data Scientist to support its artificial intelligence, automation, and data-driven initiatives, aiming to improve internal operations, enhance member services, and promote responsible innovation in the public sector.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python or R, with working knowledge of SQL.
- Familiarity with machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow) and foundational ML concepts.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jupyter Notebooks, Git, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib).
- Exposure to REST APIs, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google), or automation scripting.
- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, or frameworks like LangChain, CrewAI, or AutoGen Studio.
Responsibilities
- Explore, analyze, and prepare data to uncover trends, patterns, and operational insights.
- Support the design, development, and evaluation of machine learning and AI models across various business areas.
- Develop dashboards, visualizations, and written reports to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Assist with testing and evaluating emerging tools and AI technologies under consideration.
- Write clean, reusable code for data pipelines, automation workflows, and AI prototypes.
- Contribute to collaborative development through code reviews and version control tools (e.g., Git).
- Document methodologies and findings to support learning and iteration.
Other
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in one or more of the course areas of statistics, mathematics, computer science/information technology, operations research and econometrics; 12 semester credits of which must be in statistics and/or econometrics; and one of the following: one year of satisfactory full-time experience in one or more of the fields of statistical or mathematical analysis, information technology, operations research and/or econometrics; or a master’s degree from an accredited college or university in statistics, mathematics, computer science/information technology, operations research, econometrics, or a closely related field.
