The U.S. Air Force needs to design, build, and deploy AI solutions to tackle complex operational problems and support warfighter decision-making.
Requirements
- Experience with AI, ML, or deep learning, including coursework, internships, research, open-source, personal projects, or startup
- Experience with Python and ML frameworks or libraries, including PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers, or scikit-learn
- Experience training, evaluating, or tuning ML models, including classification, regression, foundation models, or LLMs
- Experience developing or applying AI agents, autonomous systems, or multi-agent frameworks, including LangChain, AutoGPT, decision-making agents, or planning-based systems
- Ability to think critically about AI or ML system design, including model selection, tradeoffs, and real-world deployment considerations
- Experience deploying ML models using Docker, FastAPI, or MLflow
- working on team-based software projects, or using version control such as Git

- Bachelor’s degree in a CS, Data Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field
- Ability to contribute to a cross-functional technical team, take initiative in exploring new tools, and adapt quickly to shifting priorities
- Master’s degree in a related field
- CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, or similar Certification
