Requirements
- Proficiency in Python (bonus for C++ or Rust), and deep experience with ML frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
- Strong grasp of data science fundamentals, model training, evaluation, and deployment at scale.
- Experience with real-world applications e.g. computer vision, NLP, RL, time-series, or multimodal models.
- Bonus: background in robotics, embedded ML, distributed systems, or weird sensors.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement machine learning models, with a focus on performance, scalability, and experimentation.
- Work with unstructured data including images, video, audio, text, and sensor data.
- Build intelligent systems for perception, decision-making, prediction, or control depending on the project.
- Rapidly prototype ideas while balancing robustness and research-grade curiosity.
- Collaborate closely with hardware, embedded, and product teams.
- Help define the future of AI inside Special Projects including tooling, infrastructure, and capability roadmap.
Other
- 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or applied research.
- Comfortable owning projects end-to-end in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
- Work directly with the CTO and a cross-disciplinary team of engineers, researchers, and mad scientists.
