Progressive is looking to drive its enterprise AI strategy by leading the design, architecture, and execution of agentic and generative AI platforms that power autonomous decision-making and intelligent automation.
Requirements
- End-to-End AI Platform Leadership: Proven experience in AI/ML engineering, platform architecture, and data infrastructure
- Agentic System Design & Orchestration: Expertise in architecting agentic workflows that enable autonomous decision-making, inter-agent collaboration, and governance
- Generative AI Enablement: Deep proficiency in prompt engineering, embedding design, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines
- Knowledge & Memory Engineering: Experience building knowledge graphs, ontologies, and logic-based reasoning systems
- Cloud-Native AI Infrastructure: Skilled in deploying AI agents on platforms like Azure, AWS Bedrock, or GCP
- Operational Excellence & Strategic Alignment: Strong background in CI/CD, GitOps, model lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration
- Python-based API development, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservice architectures
Responsibilities
- Leading the design, architecture, and execution of agentic and generative AI platforms
- Owning the technical vision for enabling AI agents that reason, act, and collaborate across enterprise systems
- Shaping key areas like LLM orchestration, autonomous agent frameworks, vector search infrastructure, and RAG pipelines
- Ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and transformative
- Working directly with senior leadership, product owners, and engineering stakeholders to shape the roadmap, align priorities, and lead the end-to-end implementation of agentic capabilities
- Defining the future of AI engineering at Progressive
- Leading the implementation of agentic capabilities across enterprise systems
Other
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study and minimum of five years of work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs or applications
- Minimum of six years related work experience designing, programming, and supporting software programs or applications may be accepted in lieu of degree
- Sponsorship for work authorization for foreign national candidates is not available for this position
- Must be available to work Mon-Fri, 8 am to 5 pm ET
