Requirements
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.
- Familiarity with data engineering tools and platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, EMS, AWS S3, PySpark, RDS, JupyterLab) and cloud services (AWS, Azure, Databricks) and open source environments.
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras).
- Understanding of databases and SQL for data management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex datasets.
- Basic knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, TIBCO)
- Experience with IoT devices, sensors, or edge computing in industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and implementing AI models and algorithms tailored to railroad operations, including predictive maintenance, scheduling, and safety monitoring.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to apply machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights.
- Collect, preprocess, and clean data from various sources (e.g., sensors, GPS, maintenance logs) for training AI models.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns relevant to rail operations.
- Building and maintaining Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines for AI applications
- Work in partnership with data scientists to develop AI-driven solutions to optimize train scheduling, route planning, and fuel efficiency.
- Participate in testing and optimization of AI models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with safety standards.
