Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company of Iowa is looking to explore how to put Artificial Intelligence (AI) to good use in a business environment by researching, developing and implementing various Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and technologies.
Requirements
- Exposure to Python (required)
- familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, basic infrastructure concepts, or AI frameworks (such as LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Fine-tunes prompts and models to optimize AI-driven business applications.
- Performs data preprocessing, analysis, and validation to support AI development and integration.
- Assists in testing, debugging, and maintaining AI systems and related tools.
- Researches, evaluates, and experiments with emerging AI technologies to identify opportunities for business use.
- Designs, develops, and maintains software solutions primarily using Python and related technologies.
- Analyzes and interprets business and technical requirements to inform system design and functionality.
- Develops and maintains technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Other
- Must be a currently-enrolled sophomore, junior or senior at an undergraduate college or university, majoring in Computer Science, Data Science, MIS or related technical field.
- A minor or focus on AI is highly preferred.
- This is not a remote internship.
- This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization by Farmers Mutual Hail Insurance Company of Iowa.
