Clarios is looking to improve the accuracy of battery aging and failure predictions and optimize overall lifecycle performance by developing advanced battery diagnostic algorithms using AI and machine learning methods.
Requirements
- Experienced with battery technologies and understanding of aging and failure mechanisms.
- Good understanding of Probability, Statistics and ML theory
- Skilled in developing and deploying ML models in data warehouses or workspaces (such as Snowflake/Snowpark) and building visuals (like Power BI) for data analysis.
- Proficiency with Python and ML frameworks (e.g., XGBoost, PyTorch).
- Ability to quickly learn and adopt emerging technologies, including Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), with a focus on practical application.
- Experience with AI & Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) tools to synthesize data from multiple sources.
- Advanced skills in mathematical modeling, simulation, and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate AI/ML algorithms for battery State of Health (SOH) and predictive analytics.
- Build and maintain multi-agent systems for battery bot enhancements.
- Evaluate AI platforms such as Azure AI Foundry and Snowflake for workflow automation.
- Apply AI tools to automate engineering processes and requirement analysis.
- Improve modeling workflows through automation, and integration with enterprise systems.
- Design, implement, and optimize algorithms for battery performance modeling and failure prediction.
- Integrate algorithm outputs into system-level models for real-time monitoring and diagnostics.

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to design and apply effective prompting techniques for Generative AI and Large Language Models, ensuring accurate and relevant outputs in engineering applications.
