The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is looking to solve complex problems for the U.S. federal government, state, and industry through the development of AI/ML algorithms, cloud computing, and heterogeneous distributed computing infrastructures.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with state-of-the-art, open-source software frameworks and high-performance computing accelerators for machine learning
  • Technical leadership on DoD programs
  • Sponsor engagement, business development, and selling experience
  • External engagement to include professional societies, conferences, or other applicable technical exchange forums
  • Familiarity with data-ops, ml-ops, applied AI/ML to military applications, and advanced algorithms
  • Experience with cloud computing and heterogeneous distributed computing infrastructures
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis of large data sets to advance state-of-the-art automated sensor and data processing

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects that establish new standards for AI/ML systems
  • Create novel tools and frameworks for AI/ML systems
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the technical and sponsor communities for specific AI/ML techniques and applications of these techniques to a class of problems
  • Serve as a Principal Investigator/Project Director on sponsored projects
  • Develop AI/ML algorithms, cloud computing, and/or heterogeneous distributed computing infrastructures to support the deployment of AI/ML applications
  • Research the mathematical foundations and frameworks for nonlinear systems characterized by time-varying and emerging dynamics of evolving or adaptive systems
  • Write parallel processing programs to deploy ML models developed by data scientists into more complex systems

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to research contracts with the U.S. federal government
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance
  • 10% - 25% travel is required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related technical field with 14 years of related experience
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related technical field with 12 years of related experience
