Optum is looking to leverage Generative AI technologies, specifically LLMs, RAG, and Agentic AI, to develop and deploy cutting-edge solutions within the Pharmacy domain. The goal is to address real-world challenges faced by Pharmacy Operations and Capability teams, reduce manual work, accelerate delivery, and improve Net Promoter Score (NPS) as part of Pharmacy Modernization initiatives.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic AI, and frameworks such as LangGraph and LangChain
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Python and version control tools like GitHub
- 3+ years of experience deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Experience with Git management and CI/CD best practices
Responsibilities
- Apply a solid understanding of Agentic AI concepts and frameworks such as LangGraph and LangChain to design and implement intelligent, autonomous systems
- Utilize expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Transformer architectures to build scalable and high-performing AI solutions
- Develop sophisticated generative AI algorithms and models to create new data samples, patterns, or content based on existing datasets and user inputs
- Build and maintain robust APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI to enable seamless integration of AI services
- Deploy AI/ML solutions in production environments, preferably on cloud platforms like Azure
- Implement machine learning and natural language processing projects from concept to production
- Containerize AI/ML projects and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions

- Work Eastern Time Zone hours to support collaboration across a global team
- Participate in on-call rotations as scheduled
