Apple is looking to develop the next generation of core MT technology and Large Language Model technologies to allow users to communicate across language barriers and perform multilingual tasks
Requirements
- 3+ year experience in machine learning and NLP including model training, inference, Large Language Models and neural machine translation, language modeling, sequence-to-sequence models, etc.
- Knowledge with common deep learning toolkits including JAX, PyTorch or Tensorflow
- Expertise in key language technologies including machine translation, large language model and natural language processing
- Ability to design and deploy real-world, large-scale, user-facing MT or LLM systems
- Experience with C/C++/Java, Python, bash scripting, etc.
- Experience with machine translation, large language model and natural language processing
- Knowledge of sequence-to-sequence models
Responsibilities
- Develop the next generation of core MT technology and Large Language Model technologies
- Investigate novel modeling and learning approaches and evaluation methods for Multilingual Large Language Models and Machine Translation
- Advance the edge of the LLM and MT technology to tackle real world problems
- Work with a wide variety of language technologies
- Design and deployment of real-world, large-scale, user-facing MT or LLM systems
- Formulate a research problem, design, experiment and implement solutions in C/C++/Java, Python, bash scripting, etc.
- Develop AI/ML systems at scale in production or in high-impact research environments
