Aurora Flight Sciences is looking for an AI/ML Research Engineer-Autonomy to help create the future of flight by developing and applying AI/ML techniques to aerospace and defense applications.
Requirements
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and tools (e.g., PyTorch), artificial intelligence, computer vision, or natural language processing.
- Experience with software development (e.g., Python).
- Experience with robotics or autonomous vehicles.
- Experience with C++.
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply cutting-edge AI/ML techniques to address technical challenges in aerospace and defense applications.
- Support the rapid development of innovative demonstrations and prototypes to mature AI/ML-enabled autonomous systems, including modeling, simulation, and integration to real-world vehicles.
- Contribute to applied research and development programs in collaboration with external partners, including MIT and other institutions.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 0-2+ years of relevant experience.
- Must be a US Person (US citizen or permanent resident/Green Card holder).
- Occasional travel may be required.
- This is a hybrid position going on-site weekly at our Cambridge, MA, or Manassas, VA offices. Proximity to one of these locations is required.
