JMark Services is seeking an AI/ML Services Development & Support Engineer to drive the design, development, and sustainment of machine learning solutions for national security missions, ensuring systems are agile, scalable, and mission-ready.
Requirements
- Experience with ML frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.), and deployment / inference pipeline tools.
- Proficiency in programming (Python, etc.), familiarity with containers / cloud or embedded deployment.
- Strong understanding of model evaluation metrics, validation, performance testing.
- Experience with dataset management, feature engineering, handling large, possibly multi-modal datasets.
- Familiarity with edge computing, embedded systems, or constrained compute environments.
- Experience with natural language processing, computer vision, anomaly detection, or generative models.
- Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines for ML, container orchestration (Kubernetes, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, test, and deploy AI/ML models across domains (vision, natural language, detection/classification, anomaly detection, etc.).
- Support model lifecycle management: training, validation, performance monitoring, retraining, tuning, and maintaining model pipelines.
- Integrate ML services into systems / platforms, including edge / embedded or cloud environments as required.
- Provide operational support: debugging, performance optimization, resolving issues in deployed services.
- Maintain technical documentation: architecture, experiment results, version control of models, data flows, definitions of metrics.
- Conduct risk assessments and apply best practices for AI/ML development: bias, fairness, security, robustness.
- Assist with tasks such as data preparation, feature engineering, and dataset versioning.
Other
- Collaborate with stakeholders (government, mission planners, domain experts) to define requirements for AI/ML services.
- Possibly travel for integration events, field tests, or mission engagements.
- Excellent communication skills — ability to present technical work to non-technical mission customers.
- U.S. citizenship required; active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain.
- Prior experience working in defense / intelligence / ISR / GEOINT mission environments.
