PROTEK Consulting is looking for a candidate to own end-to-end prototypes that ingest real-world sensor data, expose clean APIs, integrate AI/ML, and render 3D/4D experiences for customer validation.
Requirements
- Python (Expert): Data processing, ETL/ELT, automation, AI/ML integration.
- C++ (Advanced): Performance-critical components, Unreal Engine plugins, low-level protocol/driver work when needed.
- JavaScript/TypeScript (Advanced): Backend services and lightweight web UIs/dashboards.
- C-Sharp (Intermediate): Omniverse Kit extensions/.NET integrations.
- APIs: Solid experience building and consuming REST and gRPC services; security, observability, versioning, and reliability best practices.
- IoT: Sensor data collection, protocol familiarity (MQTT/HTTP/CoAP), edge gateways, and cloud integration patterns.
- Time-series & streaming: TimescaleDB/InfluxDB/QuestDB (or similar), streaming ETL, event-driven architecture, and real-time analytics.
Responsibilities
- Rapid POC/POV delivery: Own end-to-end prototypes that ingest real-world sensor data, expose clean APIs, integrate AI/ML, and render 3D/4D experiences for customer validation.
- Data integration & ETL: Build streaming/batch pipelines with Python (Pandas, SQLAlchemy, Airflow/Prefect) for ingestion, transformation, and orchestration across databases, REST endpoints, and cloud storage.
- IoT ingestion & edge → cloud: Collect and normalize device/sensor data (MQTT/HTTP/CoAP, serial), handle real-time and batch flows from edge devices to cloud services, and manage robust telemetry pipelines.
- Time-series platforms: Design schemas and integrations for time-series DBs (e.g., TimescaleDB/InfluxDB/QuestDB), including windowing, downsampling, retention, and query optimization for analytics and visualization.
- API development (backend): Design and implement REST/gRPC services (FastAPI/Flask/Node.js), including authN/Z, pagination, versioning, error handling, rate limiting, logging, metrics, and automated testing.
- Digital Twins & 4D pipelines: Integrate OpenUSD/USD assets, Omniverse Connectors/Kit, and Unreal Engine for real-time 3D visualization; wire spatiotemporal data (space + time) into interactive scenes.
- AI/ML integration: Embed models for anomaly detection, forecasting, computer vision, and geospatial inference (Python toolchains; PyTorch/scikit-learn; optional RAPIDS/cuDF) into APIs and twin experiences.
