iTradeNetwork is seeking a Software Engineer to help build intelligent systems that directly drive smarter decision-making across the food supply chain, shaping their next-generation AI products.
Requirements
- Solid foundation in programming (Python or Java preferred) and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with SQL and basic data structures/algorithms.
- Eagerness to learn about cloud platforms, modern ML frameworks, and best practices in software engineering.
- Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub) and testing frameworks.
- Exposure to cloud environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure) through coursework or projects.
- Python, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript basics; exposure to ML libraries (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes (learning under mentorship), basic CI/CD workflows.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to Intelligent Systems: Assist in designing and developing applications that support data-driven insights, forecasting, and supply chain optimization. Learn how AI/ML models are applied in real-world business contexts.
- Support Product Development: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to help integrate features into customer-facing applications. Gain exposure to taking projects from prototype to production.
- Learn Data Engineering & Exploration: Work with structured and unstructured datasets. Write SQL queries, build simple data pipelines, and support data transformations using tools like BigQuery, Pandas, and Airflow.
- Hands-On Model Support: Learn how to train and test models using Python libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Support performance benchmarking and experimentation under guidance from senior engineers.
- Contribute to Deployment & Testing: Help implement and test software in containerized/cloud environments (Docker, Kubernetes, GCP). Learn best practices for CI/CD and automated testing.
- Software Engineering Fundamentals: Write clean, maintainable code with version control (GitHub), testing frameworks, and documentation.
- Continuous Learning: Stay curious about emerging AI/ML and software development tools, and bring fresh ideas to the team.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent projects/coursework.
- Internship, research project, or coursework involving ML, data science, or large datasets.
- Experience building small-scale apps, APIs, or data pipelines (class projects, hackathons, personal projects count!).
- Must be able to demonstrate lawful ability to work in the United States
