Requirements
- Experience with Large Language Model
- Experience with large scale modeling
- Experience with multi-modality modeling
- Experience with cross functional collaboration with product and infrastructure teams, as well as non-engineering functions
- Experience recruiting, building, structuring, and leading technical organizations, including performance management
- Experience managing managers, managing technical teams
Responsibilities
- Be hands-on supporting and leading teams of software engineers, research engineers, and/or research scientists
- Remain up-to-date on ongoing research and software development activities in the team, help work through technical challenges, and be involved in design decisions
- Develop research plans, technical vision, long-term strategy and set direction for the team and the organization
- Present the team's work and plans in cross-company executive forums as well as to the scientific community
- Remain involved in the research community, both understanding trends, and setting them
- Communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with clients and peer teams to accelerate research and development across projects
Other
- 12+ years of experience or PhD and 8+ years of experience in a related industry research and development setting
- 2+ years of experience managing managers, 5+ years of experience managing technical teams
- Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, and leading technical organizations, including performance management
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Meta participates in the E-Verify program in certain locations, as required by law
