Mercor is seeking Physics PhD holders to contribute to a short-term pilot project with a leading frontier AI laboratory. The project focuses on advancing reasoning methods to strengthen AI systems’ ability to solve complex problems.
Requirements
- PhD in Physics from a top 20 institution (required)
- Strong preference for individuals currently in or recently active in academia and/or research
- Ability to clearly articulate reasoning in formal and precise terms
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate physics reasoning and proofs
- Author, refine, and validate technical content in advanced physics domains
- Design and assess research-style questions and benchmarks
- Provide structured feedback to support improvements in AI scientific reasoning
