Requirements
- Advanced expertise in Azure AI Foundry, Copilot and the full Microsoft AI ecosystem
- 7+ years of experience in AI / ML research and development using Python
- 7+ years of experience building data pipelines and data analyses that interface with large datasets
- 3 + years of experience using AI models to deliver business value
- Strong data science fundamentals, including using SQL, Python data frames (e.g. pandas) and data visualization using Python
- Experience working with LLMs and shipping LLM-powered applications to production
- Experience working with and mentoring engineers, through presentations, clear feedback and code reviews
Responsibilities
- Design, investigate, and develop novel AI models and algorithms in the Microsoft Azure and Copilot ecosystem
- Develop AI agents and create quantitative measures of the effectiveness of AI solutions
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and business leaders to align research efforts with Schwab’s enterprise strategy
- Help build strong scientific practices and foster a culture of continuous learning
- Lead by example in tackling complex technical challenges, advancing research standards, and driving rapid experimentation from concept to application
- Bring curiosity, creativity, and technical depth to help shape the next generation of AI at Schwab
- Advance cutting-edge AI research and develop innovative solutions
Other
- A master’s or other advanced degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related field, or equivalent industry
- Ability to work across teams and functions, collaborating effectively to deliver business value
- Strong communication skills – you balance written and verbal communication to clearly share your perspective with others on the team
- Ability to solve complex problems with ambiguous or incomplete data
