RoboForce is looking for an AI & Robotics Data Collection Engineer Intern to manage daily robot data-gathering operations and the complete data labeling pipeline, from raw capture to annotated, model-ready datasets.
Requirements
- Hands‑on experience with Linux/Ubuntu, shell scripting, or Python.
- Experience using labeling tools or annotation platforms.
- Sensor calibration experience.
- Exposure to ROS2, Docker, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
Responsibilities
- Run humanoid robots in customer scenarios, tele‑operate when needed, and ensure high‑quality data collection.
- Setup and calibrate the sensors (cameras, lidars, etc) for data collection.
- QA data labels from vendors to ensure the data quality.
- Define the quality criteria.
- Develop tools to improve QA efficiency.
- Spot bugs or issues as they arise, promptly communicate them to the right engineering teams, and confirm resolutions.
- Maintain a safe environment for both the operator and the robot.
Other
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s (or higher) in Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering (or related field).
- Strong organizational skills to track tasks, metrics, and deadlines.
- Must be able to work onsite at our Milpitas, CA office for 20+ hours (part-time) or 40 hours (full-time) per week
