The AI Search and SEO Strategy Manager drives organic growth across search engines (SEO) and AI-powered answer engines (AEO) to ensure the organization is discoverable and competitive in evolving search ecosystems.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of search algorithms, ranking factors, and structured data (Schema.org, JSON-LD).
Experience with SEO tools: Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Lighthouse, etc.
Familiarity with conversational AI platforms and generative search features.
Strong analytical skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
4+ years of experience in SEO; exposure to AEO or voice search optimization is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain a comprehensive SEO roadmap addressing technical, content, and off-page initiatives.
Develop an AEO-specific strategy focusing on emerging platforms (Google SGE, Bing AI, ChatGPT) and optimize for conversational and zero-click search formats.
Conduct quarterly technical audits (crawlability, indexation, site speed, Core Web Vitals).
Oversee structured data/schema implementation to improve eligibility for rich snippets, knowledge panels, and voice search.
Manage site architecture improvements to support SEO scalability and future AI indexing.
Partner with developers to resolve technical errors and deploy SEO fixes.
Manage Google Lighthouse scores and site improvements needed for speed improvements
