The University of Oregon's Information Services division seeks an experienced AI focused Application Developer to lead the integration and implementation of AI-powered solutions across campus using existing AI models and services. This role will focus on leveraging AI platforms to rapidly develop and deploy AI applications that enhance university operations and student services.

Requirements

  • 1 year of design and implementation experience in AI applications or related technologies.
  • Experience with AI services and APIs.
  • 4 years of hands-on experience in IT Operations or Development.
  • Technical presentation experience (e.g., whiteboard, small and large group presentations).
  • Software development skills, particularly in languages commonly used for AI integration (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
  • Familiarity with building contexts and deploying large language models and their applications.
  • Ability to develop end-to-end applications that incorporate AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration and implementation of AI-powered solutions across campus using existing AI models and services.
  • Leverage AI platforms to rapidly develop and deploy AI applications that enhance university operations and student services.
  • Provide technical leadership on the development of AI Solutions.
  • Develop new and improved campus AI IT services.
  • Develop innovative approaches to solving research, curricular, and instructional needs.
  • Develop efficiencies to streamline operations and create capacity for higher value work.
  • Design and deliver technical solutions at scale.
