CGH Design AI is seeking an AI & Spatial Data Research Intern to conduct research and develop non-production prototypes and tools under close mentorship, contributing to academic and professional portfolios.
Requirements
- Strong Foundation in Python for data processing and scientific scripting.
- Conceptual understanding of Deep Learning and neural network architectures.
- Familiarity with the basics of React or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Conceptual understanding of LiDAR Point Clouds and Photogrammetry data structures.
- Understanding of fundamental architectural terminology and spatial logic.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- A strong technical portfolio or GitHub repository demonstrating academic projects in Python, Deep Learning, or React is required.
Responsibilities
- Deep Learning Research & Implementation (Python/DL): Gaining practical experience by using Python and Deep Learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) to prototype models for tasks like point cloud segmentation and automated feature extraction from LiDAR and photogrammetry data.
- Data Analysis & Pipeline Development: Learning to process, manage, and analyze large datasets of point clouds and 3D models using established scientific computing practices.
- Visualization Prototyping (React): Assisting in the creation of basic React-based proof-of-concept web interfaces to visualize and interact with spatial data and AI model outputs for testing purposes.
- Domain Application: Applying foundational knowledge of Architecture and Interior Design principles to validate research results and understand data requirements.
- Technical Documentation : Developing and documenting clear research findings, technical workflows, and methodology for inclusion in their academic portfolio.
- Mentorship: Receiving direct, scheduled mentorship from senior developers and researchers.

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a highly technical related field.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning.
- Ability to commit to the full 3-month duration.
