The Siri & Information Intelligence team at Apple is looking to define and architect on-device search technologies to deliver great user experiences
Requirements
- 4+ years of iOS / macOS application development with Objective-C and / or Swift
- Prior experience developing frameworks and designing application programming interfaces
- Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals
- Knowledge and experience in search and indexing technologies
- Software optimization experience
- Knowledge of profiling tools and techniques
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the architecture of Apple's search technology across the entire range of products
- Work closely with multiple teams across the organization to build durable and reusable technologies
- Deliver the latest advances in search to users, from text to media
- Safeguard user privacy by leveraging the unique features of Apple devices
- Optimize work to run efficiently across Apple's range of products
- Build partnerships across Apple to deliver great user experiences
- Work with natural language processing, machine learning, and OS framework teams to tailor their technologies for each Apple platform and device
Other
- BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent proven experience
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and can communicate complex ideas clearly
- Cross-functional collaboration and evangelism
- Passionate about software architecture and system design
- Caring about user experience and tradeoffs required to deliver great mobile experiences
