Apple is looking to make Siri and Apple products smarter for its users by building groundbreaking technology for algorithmic search, machine learning, natural language processing, and artificial intelligence. The features built are redefining how hundreds of millions of people use their computers and mobile devices to search and find what they are looking for. The universal search engine powers search features across a variety of Apple products, including Siri, Spotlight, Safari, Messages and Lookup. The team needs to develop the streaming indexing infrastructure and pipeline that enable near real-time content indexing, ensuring fresh content becomes available to Siri users immediately. They also need to build a scalable indexing pipeline and critical infrastructure components to support features that empower billions of Apple users and evaluate the quality of AI models and products.

Requirements

• Strong coding skills
• Strong background in computer science, algorithms, data structures and analytics.
• Experience with AWS Services such as Amazon S3 EC2 EKS / Kubernetes.
• Experience with Kafka.
• Flink is a big plus.
• Have experience building systems to evaluate quality for search or other AI-oriented areas.

Responsibilities

• develop the streaming indexing infrastructure and pipeline that enable near real-time content indexing
• build a scalable indexing pipeline and critical infrastructure components
• develop the systems we use to evaluate the quality of our AI models and products
• leverage a combination of human and automated methods to accelerate robust iteration and development of new models and product features
• work cross functional with MLE, DS, Infra and others
