Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Air Dominance (AD) Division is seeking an Air Vehicle Subsystems Engineering Manager for advanced aircraft development programs located in Berkeley, MO. BDS AD Proprietary programs develop complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) Customers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams of more than 5 engineers on Aerospace development programs.
- Earned Value Management experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage employees of one or more aircraft subsystems design disciplines to ensure that Statements of Work and program objectives are achieved on schedule and budget.
- Lead and delegate the project team's responsibilities and tasks through all stages of the project life cycle.
- Communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.
- Develop project and operational plans aligned to team objectives.
- Implement plans to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved.
- Assign authority and responsibilities to employees to execute the plan.
- Review plan execution, monitor and report appropriate metrics, make appropriate adjustments, and resolve issues.

- This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
- This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
- This position requires the ability to obtain Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
