Amazon Robotics automates fulfillment center operations using various methods of robotic technology including autonomous mobile robots, sophisticated control software, language perception, power management, computer vision, depth sensing, machine learning, object recognition, and semantic understanding of commands. Amazon Robotics has a dedicated focus on research and development to continuously explore new opportunities to extend its product lines into new areas.
Requirements
- foundational knowledge of robotics, networked mechanical systems, and electrical systems
- Strong foundational knowledge in robotics or complex electro-mechanical and networked engineering, including knowledge of robotic systems, components, and software.
Responsibilities
- oversees the installation, troubleshooting, integration, and commissioning of Amazon Robotics equipment in new and existing fulfillment centers (FCs)
- deploying robotic equipment, including working with mechanical systems, electrical, configuring networking, and coordinating software systems
- provide technical oversight on the installation of both third party and Amazon designed robotics equipment
- lead the development of process documentation and modifying the existing processes
- recognize process gaps and take ownership in developing solutions
- capture lessons learned and drive technical continuous improvement projects
- Ability to function independently

- Willingness to work primarily in a construction or warehouse environment in a field-based role.

- Project duration can range from a few days to several months and include travel across the US.
- This position requires 75% travel.
