Norfolk Southern Corporation is looking to support projects related to ATC system design and performance, providing data, documents, reports, and analysis related to ATC BI, Train Control Systems, and C&S Infrastructure Health, and Regulatory Compliance.
Requirements
- MS Office 365 including Visio
- SQL
- Spotfire, Power BI, or other business analytics platforms
- Project Management applications such as Jira
- Preferred proficiency in at least one modern programming or scripting language (i.e. Python, R)
Responsibilities
- Participates in development efforts across multiple NS departments ensuring one NS vision for the evolution of applications related to Train Control Initiatives.
- Works with NS resources to innovate, streamline and improve NS transportation, engineering, information technology and ATC applications and systems interfacing with the PTC system.
- Provides accurate NS Train Control performance data for FRA as needed
- Provides visibility of Train Control and C&S Infrastructure data in easily consumable formats including dashboards and automated reports
- Builds and maintains knowledge of Train Control, energy management, C&S, dispatching and NS transportation back-office functions and interfaces
- Develops and maintains working knowledge of system requirements, interfaces and system hazards to support C&S
- Provides support for industry-level Interoperable Train Control (ITC) teams and TTCI research projects as assigned
