S&P Global is looking to solve the problem of maintaining and enhancing the quality of S&P Dow Jones and iBoxx indices, specifically focusing on Fixed Income indices, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the indices through meticulous data management, research and analysis.
Requirements
- A foundational understanding of the fixed income market, ESG trends etc.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to work with large data sets.
- Basic experience with Python, SQL and VBA for process automation and data analysis.

Responsibilities
- Manage and analyze a wide range of data sets for Fixed income securities – such as security Reference data, Corporate actions, ESG data and others - to ensure data quality, accuracy, and timely delivery for index production and maintenance.
- Conduct data quality checks, implement validation and verification processes, and maintain high standards of data quality.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and index managers to understand data requirements and ensure indices comply with their methodologies and objectives.
- For complex cases, provide detailed analysis of recommended data changes to the relevant index committees for review and decision making. Communicate decisions to all impacted stakeholders.
- Define requirements, conduct testing and help implement improvements to the Fixed Income Data technology toolkit to enable operational efficiencies and best practices for the data management team.
- Onboard new data feeds and/or datasets, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.
- Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and other factors affecting the Fixed Income markets and ESG trends.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in fixed income, ESG, data management, indexing or a similar financial field.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
