The EHR Systems Analyst specializes in understanding the needs of the various clinical and operational departments to translate them into technical and software system specifications and solutions. This role is responsible to ensure they are continually adapted to support customer needs, ensure accuracy and completeness, and ensure high availability, scalability, as well as drive new feature/function implementations over time.
Requirements
- At least 2+ years of experience in the technical field or healthcare field.
- Must have the ability to learn multiple software applications quickly.
Responsibilities
- Gather, evaluate and document functional and non-functional requirements based on business goals.
- Produce workflow designs and facilitate meetings on new process adoption.
- Develop data mapping and execute migration from source EHR to Host EHR.
- Participate in the functional testing and assist with user acceptance testing.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and communicate results with Management.
- Collaborate with EHR vendor to identify, diagnose, and resolve recurring incidents.
- Oversee system updates, configuration changes, and installations of hardware and software, and diagnose technical problems to determine proper solutions.
Other
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
- Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
