DraftKings is looking to leverage AI to enhance customer experiences, streamline operations, and unlock new possibilities. The Central Forecasting team needs an Analyst I to evaluate and optimize marketing performance, uncover trends, support machine learning initiatives, and build dashboards to guide high-impact decisions, ultimately driving smarter spend strategies and more accurate forecasts.

Requirements

  • Practical experience with SQL/Snowflake and Tableau.
  • Python/R experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to data science principles, including machine learning, regression and classification techniques, and model evaluation, as well as familiarity with tools like Databricks, Airflow, XGBoost and Bitbucket, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of A/B testing, experimental design, and hypothesis testing methods.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage forecasting and data analysis techniques to measure, monitor, and predict new customer acquisition trends.
  • Contribute to the design and enhancement of machine learning models, dashboards, and other diagnostic tools that improve forecast accuracy and efficiency.
  • Translate complex datasets and analyses into clear, compelling insights that inform decision-making for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Continuously evaluate forecasting methodologies, incorporating new data sources and approaches to improve precision and scalability.
  • Support ad-hoc analyses and high-visibility projects that drive innovation and help shape long-term marketing strategy.
  • Champion best practices in data integrity, reporting, and automation to ensure consistent, reliable insights.

Other

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or another relevant discipline.
  • At least 1 year of experience in business analytics or data science.
  • Curiosity to learn about a complex business and a desire to grow as an analyst.
  • May be required to obtain a gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency as a condition of employment.
