New Balance is looking to analyze current business and product processes to continually identify areas for efficiencies and improvements, and deliver tools and actionable insights to improve and streamline the New Balance & Value Chain ecosystem.
Requirements
- Familiarity with Data Visualization/Business Intelligence software packages and ability to mine & blend data from various sources (Spotfire, Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong SQL/Snowflake expertise with ability to pull data, join data, and analyze data within SQL/Snowflake. This includes Nested Queries, Pivots, different levels of aggregation, UNIONs and JOINS.
- Must have deep understanding of MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT, Access, Visio, Sharepoint, Teams).
- Inspired to seek out, learn, adopt, and adapt new technical skills within the rapidly evolving Analytics space.
- Demonstrated analytical capabilities and business acumen.
- Ability to effectively interact/collaborate/problem-solve with customers at all levels of the organization.
- Complex project management and organizational skills are essential due to evolving fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Strong ability to gather requirements, understand approach to data pull, pulling & manipulation of data, and packaging data for customers in appropriate manner.
- Collaborate cross functionally, specifically to gather data requirements and communicate risks/roadblocks to current projects.
- Act as technical SME/consultant for groups across New Balance regarding source data, customer process, data manipulation, and analysis techniques.
- Supports the New Balance Analytics Center of Excellence (COE). Focusing on standardization of analytics approaches, data methodologies, and the mentoring/development of analytics talent.
- Has ability to see data and intuitively understand if data looks correct. Utilizes a variety of tools and techniques to accomplish data validation & visualization.
- Ensures report requirements are translated, formatted and integrated into project design and understood by key stakeholders. Strong understanding of common filters and logic used across various business groups.
- Develops and maintains tools for data driven decisions & KPIs across New Balance.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in engineering/technical/analytic field plus a minimum of 2 years of performing analyst duties.
- Ability to effectively interact/collaborate/problem-solve with customers at all levels of the organization.
- Complex project management and organizational skills are essential due to evolving fast paced environment.
- Must be able to work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) with flexibility for remote work.
