American Express U.S. Consumer Services (USCS) division is seeking an Analyst to join the Amex Offers & Digital Media (AODM) Strategic Analytics team to enhance the AODM ecosystem with strategic, data-driven insights to drive engagement, inform product roadmap, optimize product strategy, and enhance customer experiences through data science and analytics.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience managing and analyzing large, complex datasets
- 1+ years of hands-on analytics or data science experience
- Strong quantitative and statistical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Familiarity with analytical and statistical methods (e.g. test design, supervised/unsupervised learning, forecasting, and optimization techniques)
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience with consumer behavior analytics, digital marketing or advertising platforms is a plus
- Strong communication and storytelling skills to deliver insights effectively to stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analyses of cardmember and digital interaction data to generate actionable insights
- Partner closely with Sales, Product, Go-to-Market (GTM), and Strategy teams to align business goals and analytical needs
- Translate complex business questions into clear analytical approaches (e.g., segmentation, cohort analysis, A/B testing, time series modeling)
- Contribute to strategic planning by defining test-and-learn methodologies, and supporting product development with data-driven insights
- Manage urgent and high-impact data requests for senior leadership
- Champion innovation by identifying and exploring untapped data and analytical opportunities
- Collaborate across regions (US, UK, India) to scale and adapt analytical solutions and best practices globally

- Bachelor’s degree in any quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Operations Research)
