Nationwide is looking for an Analytic Engineer to join the Enterprise Analytics Office (EAO) to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines that support machine learning models and advanced analytics, transforming raw data into reliable, well-documented datasets optimized for analysis and modeling.
Requirements
- Strong experience with ETL/ELT development and data pipeline architecture
- Proficiency in SQL and either Python or R
- Familiarity with statistical and machine learning concepts
- Understanding of data governance principles and best practices
- Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Databricks, or Snowflake
- Exposure to DataOps or MLOps methodologies and tools
- Experience with generative AI design and implementation
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT processes to support data science initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality datasets
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with governance standards
- Develops and implements data management practices for structured and unstructured data sources.
- Reviews analytic work products and may provide subject matter feedback to project team.
- Understands standards for implementation of analytic data asset builds into the Model Factory.
- Is responsible for regulatory and security compliance of assets, as well as data integrity and quality, to ensure reliability and performance.
Other
- Undergraduate studies required in computer science, mathematics, analytic, data science, and related degrees.
- One to four years of demonstrated experience in role responsibilities.
- This role does not qualify for employer sponsored work authorization.
