OneMain Financial is seeking to solve complex, unstructured business problems in consumer finance analytics, such as creating digital marketing campaigns, determining loan amounts, optimizing application assignments, and developing options to help customers get back on track.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student actively enrolled in an analytic degree program discipline (examples: Business, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Biostatistics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Data Analysis, Computer Science).
  • Proven experience (in an academic, athletic, volunteer, or employment context) working with teams of diverse individuals to deliver complex projects.
  • Strong analytic, strategic thinking, communications, and leadership skills.
  • Curiosity, creative problem solving, integrative business thinking, teamwork, and bias for action.
  • Enthusiastic learners who want to tackle real-world challenges.
  • Ability to explain technical topics and concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Innovative and capable of developing creative solutions to complex, data-driven problems.

Responsibilities

  • Apply strategic thinking and analytic skills to solve complex, unstructured business problems.
  • Develop creative technical solutions to improve the company’s decision making, the customer’s experience, and shareholder returns.
  • Create a digital marketing campaign to acquire new customers.
  • Determine the right loan amount to offer to new-to-credit customers.
  • Optimize the assignment of applications to our 4,500+ branch team members.
  • Develop new options that help our customers get back on track when they are experiencing an unexpected challenge.
  • Actively contribute to our team’s vibrant culture through sharing knowledge, helping peers, and being a great person to work with.
