Netflix Ads Data Science and Engineering team needs to build the foundation of the ads business by developing analytic tools, predictive models, and algorithms using machine learning to create more choices and joy for members. The Senior Analytics Engineer will specifically focus on building foundational metrics, dashboards, and analysis frameworks for consent analytics to measure, understand, and improve user consent across multiple products and regions, informing business-critical decisions around consent flows, regulatory compliance, and monetization strategies.

Requirements

  • Fluency in SQL, workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, and at least one analytics and scripting language like Python.
  • Extensive experience in programmatic adtech analytics, with a strong understanding of programmatic advertising and large-scale streaming ecosystems.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the analytics strategy for consent management across Netflix Ads, designing and implementing frameworks to measure, optimize, and report on user consent rates, re-consenting initiatives, and the financial impact of opt-in/opt-out behaviors across diverse user segments and geographies.
  • Build scalable, adaptable dashboards and data models to surface real-time insights on consent trends, A/B test outcomes, and the effectiveness of consent interstitial designs, informing both product optimization and monetization strategies for Ads and Live Events.
  • Deliver robust analyses and predictive models that enable proactive consent optimization, such as targeted messaging, demographic/behavioral segmentation, and event-specific consent strategies, ensuring actionable insights for key business decisions and future regulatory shifts.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on consent analytics, and pioneering scalable approaches to consent measurement, dashboarding, and universal opt-out monitoring (e.g., Global Privacy Control), with an emphasis on innovation, transparency, and long-term business value.
  • Build the foundational metrics, dashboards, and analysis frameworks that drive how we measure, understand, and improve user consent across multiple products and regions.
  • Develop analytic tools, build predictive models and algorithms using machine learning, all with the goal of creating more choices and joy for our members.
  • Build workflows, provide recommendations, and drive success on end-to-end analytics initiatives in this 0 -1 space.
