The Cigna Group and its subsidiary Evernorth are seeking to develop future analytics leaders to solve healthcare's greatest challenges using data, analytics, and artificial intelligence.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated coursework or real-world application of analytical and AI methods, including but not limited to: writing code (e.g., Python, R, Java, Julia, SAS)
  • Developing models (e.g., regression, decision trees, deep learning, or generative AI techniques)
  • Evaluating outcomes using statistical techniques (e.g., matched case-control studies, A/B testing)
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, Power BI) and PowerPoint a plus
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL
  • Experience with cloud-based AI/ML platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure ML) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Building predictive models to identify high-need customers for one of The Cigna Group's clinical programs using machine learning techniques.
  • Leveraging clustering algorithms and AI-driven segmentation to enable personalization in customer communication and outreach.
  • Apply natural language processing (NLP), and other advanced analytical capabilities, to analyze unstructured data such as customer feedback or clinical notes.
  • Exploration of generative AI applications to automate insights generation and enhance decision-making.

Other

  • Master’s degree in a quantitative field, such as data science, statistics, business analytics, mathematics, or related major
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong motivation to apply responsible and ethical AI practices to real-world business challenges
  • Strong motivation for leadership (e.g., demonstrated through extracurricular work or relevant certifications)
  • 3.2+ GPA strongly preferred
