Google's Developer Relations team needs to collaborate and connect with communities that love technology, specifically focusing on Android development. They aim to foster a community of developers working with Google technologies, advocate for developers' interests internally, and improve Google's products by conveying feedback from developers.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience with Android application development and coding in Java/Kotlin.
- 3 years of experience in building user interfaces (UIs) that can scale effectively.
Responsibilities
- write sample code and client libraries
- participate in developer forums and support queues to troubleshoot and debug coding problems developers encounter
- work with product engineering teams to improve our products by conveying feedback from developers
- reviewing API designs
- testing new features
- promote and support platforms like Chrome, Android, App Engine, HTML5 as well as our core Google Apps and Ads APIs
- drive strategy around fostering a community of developers who work with Google technologies
Other
- Experience communicating and influencing externally, including public speaking and presentations.
- 3 years of experience as a technical practitioner in a developer community.
- Attend or facilitate conferences and events to gain and share insights on user experience and technologies.
- Lead strategic developer programs and act as an authority in the domain.
- Contribute input and feedback on products or programs, and represent the interests of partners to internal stakeholders.
