Serve as a technical authority on all phases of software development including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of the API platform and tooling. Support the API platform support and upgrades. Develop applications, frameworks, and tools for API Core Engineering division to improve developer productivity and SDLC process.
Requirements
- Gateway experience (Kong preferred)
- Experience working in platform, AWS, Node, API
- 3-5+ years of software development experience using Node.js, JavaScript or TypeScript as programming language
- Experience of Python programming language and scripting languages
- Experience developing comprehensive unit tests using Jest or Mocha or Chai or an equivalent testing framework
- Experience building applications for public cloud platforms, preferably AWS
- Experience developing API or Microservices using REST a plus
Responsibilities

- Develop software applications using Node.js technologies and related programming languages (JavaScript or TypeScript)
- Develop comprehensive unit tests using Node.js testing frameworks
- Develop CI/CD pipeline tools and frameworks using GitLab, Python, and Shell Scripts
- Interact with other development teams within Enterprise to support the adoption of the API gateway and frameworks we build, help resolve issues surrounding adoption and usage, and support questions or clarifications or issues from the consumer teams
