Booz Allen is looking for an experienced back-end developer to identify potential risks, contribute to solution development, and create efficient and effective systems for their clients, utilizing the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to deliver solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering, including distributed systems and API design
- 5+ years of experience in software development using Java or Python
- 3+ years of experience with designing, deploying, and operating real-time, low-latency API platforms at scale
- 2+ years of experience with DevOps practices and technologies, including Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and GitOps workflows
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with Git and collaboration tools, including Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence, Nexus, or Bitbucket
- Experience with SQL, Server-Side Development, Middleware, Application or Data Integration, API Development, Core Application Systems
Responsibilities
- Contribute to solution development
- Create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability
- Design, deploy, and operate real-time, low-latency API platforms at scale
- Implement DevOps practices and technologies, including Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and GitOps workflows
- Work with protocols, including HTTP, gRPC, or WebSockets, caching, load balancing, and API security
- Gather requirements and engage with clients
- Collaborate with the development team to create efficient and effective systems
