Emory Healthcare is seeking an Apple Systems Engineer to serve as the subject matter expert for all Apple platforms across enterprise environments, ensuring secure, stable, and highly available server systems.
Requirements
- Deep technical proficiency in macOS administration, MDM configuration, Apple device lifecycle management, and integration with enterprise systems.
- Hands-on expertise in Apple systems, including macOS, iOS, iPadOS, visionOS, tvOS, and watchOS.
- Experience editing configuration profiles and PLIST files, as well as contributing to minor development or integration work.
- Intermediate scripting and automation skills.
- Expert knowledge of enterprise backup solutions, performance monitoring tools, and cloud-native services.
- Experience with enterprise server management tools.
- Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining server systems and infrastructure for both enterprise and cloud environments. Ensure server systems are secure, stable, and highly available.
- Highly proficient with enterprise server management tools and possesses intermediate scripting and automation skills. Skilled in troubleshooting both Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Participate in the planning, deployment, and ongoing support for enterprise server infrastructure to ensure optimum performance and scalability.
- Possess an expert knowledge of enterprise backup solutions, performance monitoring tools, and cloud-native services.
- Work with cross-functional teams for capacity planning, focusing on future scalability and resource optimization across all environments.
- Includes after-hours maintenance and on-call rotations to support critical tier1 systems.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and script Apple workflows using tools such as Jamf, Intune, or other MDM platforms.
Other
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline and five years Infrastructure server administration experience OR seven years of Infrastructure server engineering experience.
- Limited travel for summit events.
- After-hours maintenance and on-call rotations to support critical tier1 systems.
- Collaboration and understanding of both hardware and software systems.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
