Boys Town is seeking a strategic and technically adept Enterprise Solutions Architect/Product Owner with expertise in Workday to lead the design, development and optimization of enterprise-wide HR and Finance systems.

Requirements

  • Considerable knowledge of computer program design and development methodology, computer logic, block diagramming, and flow-charting, and standard computer languages and operating systems as well as emerging systems development technology.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and processes.
  • Strong database management skills including the ability to merge, cleanse, and analyze large amounts of data.
  • Knowledge of web-enabled application development architectures, knowledge of Agile development frameworks, and expert knowledge of SQL including complex queries, T-SQL (MS SQL Server or Oracle).
  • Expertise in version control.
  • General understanding of quality of service, non-functional requirements specification and infrastructure architecture, UI development using standard technologies (Bootstrap, JQuery).
  • Knowledge of RESTful Web Services, Tomcat, Linux, Oracle, Java Technology stack (Groovy/Grails, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS), Virtual Private Database, Oracle Database 11g/12c integration with middleware and web components, Ellucian Ethos Platform, and Banner ERP networking.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates, tests, and demonstrates tools, technologies and processes that will evolve software development.
  • Provides overarching governance and standards including application business continuity, disaster recovery, security, change management, development quality, development methods, and code quality.
  • Leads members of the development team to ensure software design and implementation meet architectural goals and quality standards.
  • Identifies opportunities for improving the effectiveness of processes, systems, and technologies; provides vision by evaluating and recommending new hardware/software technologies for core business applications and determines feasibility of alternative solutions.
  • Engineers core business applications to add business value and ensure functional and technical requirements are met.
  • Helps design, maintain, and monitor database structures for ERP and related systems to ensure data integrity and eliminate data redundancies.
  • Coordinates with business owners and other stakeholders to develop strategic road maps for the future state of ERP Systems.

  • Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with senior level staff to determine information technology and applications needed to meet organizational needs and provide required informational data, and the ability to explain data and findings to a non-technical audience.
  • Ability to provide regular technical reports both verbal and statistical showing status of ongoing projects.
  • High level of professionalism, customer service, and integrity with all stakeholders and information technology staff. Demonstrated strong attention to detail, problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.
