Requirements
- 5 years of professional experience utilizing OOPs
- 5 years of professional experience utilizing modern programming languages including Java
- 5 years of professional experience with unit testing, HTTP, XML, JSON, and JavaScript
- 5 years of professional experience consuming RESTful and SOAP based web services
- 5 years of professional experience utilizing agile development methodologies with Test Driven Development (TDD) and CI (Continuous Integration)/CD (Continuous Delivery)
- Hands-on experience in Web technologies, Web Services, Content Delivery Network (CDN)
- Experience with HTTP, XML, JSON, JavaScript
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software systems throughout all phases of the software development process
- Develop and document software architecture pertaining to the enterprise CDN, including defining components, interfaces, and data flow
- Execute to success through diligent planning, attention to detail, effective delegation, and efficient decision-making
- Develop technical and domain expertise and apply it to solving product challenges
- Perform thorough configuration reviews by ensuring applications are designed for optimal performance, scalability and security over the edge
- Participate in customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development
- Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out applications with cross-functional impacts
Other
- Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field
- 5 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or any occupation/position/job title involving performing software engineering
- Must report to Western Union LLC at 7001 E Belleview Ave., Denver, CO 80002 when not telecommuting
- Telecommuting may be permitted
- Must have 5 years of professional experience contributing to business technology direction to drive measurable business improvements
