CVS Health is looking to support and maintain mission-critical applications related to pension plan administration, which involves maintaining legacy systems written in COBOL and CICS, with some exposure to Java front-end components and Advantage Gen (Cool Gen).
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in mainframe development
- Strong proficiency in COBOL and CICS
- Exposure to or willingness to learn Gen / CA Gen
- Experience working with Mainframe DB2 and writing SQL queries
- Ability to read and interpret legacy code with minimal documentation
Responsibilities
- support and maintain mission-critical applications related to pension plan administration

- navigating complex, undocumented codebases and learning the business logic embedded in decades-old applications
- support application development, implementation, enhancement, and testing of programming
- Ensure system integrity by providing timely, accurate production call-list support
- implementing regulatory changes (e.g., tax updates) and ensuring system stability
