WSP's Visualization and Data Intelligence (VDI) national practice is seeking an Application Developer to support a variety of consulting projects of differing complexity and duration, collaborating closely with colleagues and clients within a dynamic and adaptable work environment.
Requirements
- 5-7 years custom development experience with ASP.NET/C-Sharp with a strong focus on UI/UX experience.
- Experience in front-end frameworks (React preferred, or Vue, Angular, Blazor), HTML5, JavaScript (ES6+), CSS3, and JSON.
- Experience in front-end architecture, performance optimization, and cross-browser testing.
- Experience in one or more database technologies (Transact-SQL with SQL Server, MySQL, etc.).
- Experience with geospatial tools (Mapbox, Google Maps, or ArcGIS).
- Experience in accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG 2.0), front-end build tools (Webpack, Tailwind, Vite), and SEO best practices.
- Experience working in DevOps / Git environment for version control with a good discipline in pull requests and merge branch operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the architecture, development, and launching and maintenance of scalable .NET web applications.
- Collaboratively work on front-end development with a focus on accessibility and responsiveness.
- Implement UI/UX design execution in web applications.
- Contribute to technical specs and contribute to core code and documentation.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues, bugs, and optimize performance.
- Support, enhance, and maintain legacy systems.
- Mentor team members.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or related field.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
