The banking institution needs to design and implement robust, scalable, and secure data solutions to support its strategic objectives. This role will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation for data and analytics initiatives.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with Big Data technologies and Oracle (e.g., Hadoop ecosystem, Spark, Kafka, Hive, Impala, PL/SQL, SQL with latest Oracle version).
- Expert-level proficiency in Tableau for data visualization, dashboard design, and performance tuning.
- Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their respective data services is a plus.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and master data management (MDM/CDGP) principles.
- Deep understanding of enterprise security best practices and their application to data solutions.
- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Tableau Certified Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cloudera Certified Professional) are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end architectural design for complex data initiatives, including data warehousing, data lakes, data integration, and analytical platforms, ensuring solutions are scalable, resilient, and performant.
- Design and implement Big Data solutions leveraging technologies such as Hadoop, Spark
- Drive the development of advanced analytical dashboards and reports using Tableau, ensuring data is presented clearly and effectively to support business decision-making. This includes designing data models optimized for Tableau performance.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, coding best practices, and security policies. Mentor and coach junior architects and engineers.
- Collaborate extensively with business stakeholders, product managers, and other IT teams to gather requirements, define technical strategies, and communicate complex architectural concepts in an understandable manner.
- Ensure all data solutions comply with regulatory requirements, data governance policies, and internal security standards inherent to the banking industry.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in data pipelines and analytical solutions, implementing optimizations to improve efficiency and responsiveness.

- Minimum of 12+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5+ years in a senior solution architecture role focused on data and analytics within a large enterprise, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale, complex data solutions from concept to production.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, capable of influencing and guiding cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
